Drawing makes Derwent Art Prize 2016

Shirley Sharp’s Drawing ‘The Guardian stays close to the troubled mind’ has been selected for the prestigious Derwent Art Prize 2016. On display at Mall Galleries, London from 19-24 September. This year 1,193 artists submitted a total of 3,299 works of art from around the world, form these 72 works by 68 artists have been chosen for the exhibition and Shirley is one of them. By the panel of distinguished selectors, Meryl Ainslie, Michael Glover and Eileen Cooper RA.

‘Open Doors’ 2016. Thornbury Carnival Fringe.  Saturday 25th June from 10-1.

We are delighted to announce our next open doors event. Inviting the community to come and see what we do at Clash artspace as part of the Thornbury Carnival Fringe.

You are all welcome . You can expect to see us working across all forms of fine art, illustration and design, including drawing, painting, felt making, stained glass and glass infusion.

So come along, have a drink and chat to the artists in this new and exciting artspace in the heart of Thornbury.
